Mint.com gives you an insight into the average amount of money that you spend on food and drinks per month. Depending upon how many times you visit coffee shops, pubs, movies, etc, your average spending per month is given by mint.com, which tackles your spending on eating out. In this infographic titled “Eat, Drink, and Be Thrifty” you will find a video by mint.com on how you spend your personal finances on eating and drinking out per month.

Your average transaction per individual at Starbucks, Seattle’s Best, Dunkin Donuts, etc would be anywhere from five to seven dollars.  If you spend at least three days a week at these places with your friends, you will be spending an average of twelve to fifteen dollars per week. But, if you visit these places more than just once or twice a month, then your average spending on eating out will be fourteen dollars per month.

More than healthy food, your average spending on fast food is going to quite high, i.e., if you have fast food five times a month. In places like McDonalds, Burger King, etc, your average spending will be between seven to ten dollars on an average. That makes it nearly fifty dollars per month. The next place where you would spend on eating is buying groceries. If six times is the average number of visits you make to the groceries to buy food items, then monthly you will be spending, nearly two hundred to three hundred dollars.
